NCERT’s Virtual Lab Series Day 2: NCERT CIET Free Online Training on Virtual Labs – Biology Session Covered on 14 May

New Delhi, 14 May 2025 – The second day of the NCERT CIET Free Online Training on “Integration of Virtual Labs in Teaching-Learning and Assessment” was successfully conducted today. The session focused on “Virtual Lab for Teaching, Learning and Assessment in Biology”, and was led by Ms. Nidhi Adlakha Tuli, Senior Academic Consultant at CIET, NCERT, New Delhi.

During the session, Ms. Tuli demonstrated how Biology educators can make use of interactive simulations and hands-on experiments using the Virtual Labs platform on DIKSHA. The session highlighted how students can explore biology concepts more deeply through virtual activities rather than only relying on textbooks.

This free training, launched as part of the NEP 2020 initiative, aims to help teachers shift towards experiential and inquiry-based learning. Ms. Tuli emphasized that with Virtual Labs, even complex topics in Biology can be made easy and fun to understand for students of Classes 6 to 12.

The session was streamed live from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on NCERT’s YouTube channel and other PM eVidya platforms including DD Free Dish, Tata Sky, Airtel, JioTV, and more.
