NCERT’s 5-Day Cyber Safety Training Begins May 5: Free Certificate, Live YouTube Classes, Mental Wellness & Legal Awareness Covered

Education Desk : In a significant step toward promoting digital literacy and safe internet practices, the Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET) under NCERT has announced a comprehensive five-day online training programme titled “Safety in Cyberspace”.

This initiative is aimed at equipping students, teachers, parents, and educators with the essential knowledge and practical tools to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.

As technology becomes deeply integrated into daily life—from classrooms to homes—understanding cyber safety, digital ethics, and online well-being has become not just a necessity but a responsibility. NCERT CIET training will address vital concerns such as technical vulnerabilities, cyberbullying, screen fatigue, digital addiction, and legal safeguards, ensuring a holistic approach to safe digital behaviour.

Why is ‘Safety in Cyberspace’ Training Important?

The growing digital footprint among learners and educators has brought several benefits—but also significant risks. Online threats, fake news, data misuse, and psychological stress are becoming increasingly common. Recognising these challenges, NCERT has designed this training to build digital awareness and emotional resilience among users of all ages.

Training Schedule and Language

  • English Sessions: 5th to 9th May 2025
  • Hindi Sessions: 12th to 16th May 2025
  • Time: 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM daily

Platforms: Live on NCERT YouTube Channel, PM eVidya DTH channels (6–12), DD Free Dish (28–34), DISH TV (2027–2033), and Jio TV App. Participants can also access recorded sessions via a YouTube playlist for flexible learning.

How to Join and Get Certified?

Register Online – Use the registration link or scan the provided QR code.

Attend Live or Watch Recordings – Watch sessions live or through recorded playlists shared by NCERT.

Complete Online Course on DIKSHA – On the final day, participants can join the DIKSHA course, view the 5 training videos, and take the final assessment (three attempts allowed).

Get Certified – Score 70% or more in the assessment to download your certificate from your DIKSHA profile within 15–20 days.

Submit Feedback – Help improve future training by filling out the feedback form.
